This project was a small exercise as part of the Diploma 13 course at the AA. The brief was to develop a screen element that can both divide and unite. This screen is based on a simple element that focuses the users/observers view, but through variation of this simple geometry, as one moves along and changes position, the screen reveals or hides different parts on the other side. One part of the exercise was a physical model, another a A0-Axo composite drawing that shows both the experiential side of the screen as well as information about the assembly/built up. The geometry and digital models were developed in Maya, the drawings in AutoCAD and the physical model was made with laser cut tracing paper.
